Unless otherwise noted, all RGSR dogs are current on vaccines, micro-chipped, spayed or neutered and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative prior to being adopted.
Octavia
Meet Octavia! Octavia is a spirited gal whose zest for life is contagious and tail is always wiggling. This very affectionate girl is eager to please and treat motivated. Exploring new places is a favorite pastime of hers. She has a great time on walks and would love to venture out for at least 30 minutes a day. When Octavia is not busy trying to cajole her foster fur-siblings to play or rearranging her toys, she loves to jump in your lap and snuggle. She does take a little time to warm up to new people but once she does, she is all kisses. This shy and slower to trust behavior is not uncommon with stray dogs who are so young. She was born on the Texas-Mexican border in a very impoverished area that has a high stray and abandoned dog population. During the first five months of her life, she lived with no human contact, malnourished and filled with parasites. At 2 years old now, Octavia weighs around 50 pounds and will likely not get much bigger because of the neglect she suffered early on. But her medium size makes her perfect for a condo or townhome. She does great with sturdy children, who don't mind if she occasionally runs into them. Octavia is spayed, housebroken, micro-chipped and current on; vaccines, flea/tick and heartworm preventative.
